Andriy Mykolayovych Shevchenko (born 29 September 1976) is a Ukrainian former football manager and player, considered one of the greatest strikers of all time and Ukraine's greatest ever player. He is the all-time top scorer for the Ukraine national team with 48 goals. While his legendary career was forged at Dynamo Kyiv and AC Milan, he never played for FC Barcelona.

In the 1997–98 UEFA Champions League, while playing for Dynamo Kyiv, he scored a hat-trick in the first half of an away match against Barcelona, which Dynamo won 4–0. No other visitor to the Camp Nou scored a Champions League treble until 2021. Later, while at Milan, he faced Barcelona in the 2005–06 Champions League semi-final. Milan lost 1–0 to the eventual winners, a match where Shevchenko controversially had a last-minute equaliser denied by the referee. Despite this, he ended as the top scorer of the whole competition with 9 goals in 12 games. He never played for Barcelona.
